1. Purpose of these Guidelines

These Community Guidelines explain what behavior and content are expected on Viner. They apply to all User Content (videos, comments, profiles, and other material) and to how you interact with other people on the platform.

These Guidelines work together with the Terms of Use. If you break these Guidelines, it can lead to content removal, restrictions, or account suspension.

2. Be respectful

Viner is meant to feel fun, nostalgic, and creative. You must not use Viner to harass or attack others. Specifically, you may not:

• Send repeated unwanted messages, insults, or threats.
• Encourage others to harass or “dogpile” someone.
• Use slurs or other demeaning language aimed at someone’s identity, including race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or disability.
• Make serious threats of violence or harm against any person or group.

3. Dangerous and illegal content

You may not use Viner to promote or display content that is seriously dangerous or illegal. This includes, for example:

• Content that shows or strongly encourages serious physical injury to yourself or others.
• Instructions for committing crimes or causing harm in real life.
• Content that supports terrorism or organized crime.
• Content that encourages the use or sale of illegal drugs.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted adult right away. Viner cannot handle real-time emergencies.

4. Sexual content and minors

Viner does not allow sexually explicit content and absolutely does not allow any sexual content involving minors.

You must not upload or share:

• Nudity or pornography.
• Content that sexualizes minors or appears to do so.
• Any material that seems to involve non-consensual sexual activity.

In very serious cases, we may cooperate with relevant services if we believe a child is at risk.

5. Respect creators and copyright

Many clips on Viner come from the original Vine platform and belong to their original creators. When you upload or remix content, you must:

• Upload only content you created yourself or that you have permission to use.
• Not claim someone else’s content as your own.
• Not remove watermarks, credits, or other indicators of authorship.

6. No spam, scams, or impersonation

You may not use Viner to mislead other people or overload the platform. This includes:

• Posting the same or very similar content repeatedly just to get attention.
• Using bots, scripts, or fake accounts to inflate views, likes, or followers.
• Pretending to be someone else, including another user, public figure, or a member of the Viner team.
• Running fake giveaways, phishing attempts, or other scams.

7. Reporting problems

If you see content or behavior that seems to break these Guidelines, you can report it by emailing safety@viner.co or support@viner.co. Please include:

• Links to the content or profiles involved.
• The usernames of the people involved.
• A short explanation of what happened and why it is a concern.

We cannot promise a specific outcome for every report, but we will review reports in good faith and take reasonable action where appropriate.
