2. Data we collect
In general, Viner may collect:
- Account info (beta/app): username, email, hashed password, and profile details you choose to share.
- Content: videos you upload, captions, comments, likes, and basic metadata.
- Usage: which clips you view, basic interaction logs, and rough statistics.
- Device info: IP address, approximate region, browser or app version, and crash or error logs.
3. Why we collect it
We use this data to:
- Run the archive and beta platform so that core features work correctly.
- Keep the service safer, detect spam or abuse, and protect against attacks.
- Fix bugs and understand which features people use the most.
We do not sell your personal data. If this ever changes in a major way, we will update this Summary and the Privacy Policy.
4. Protection and storage
We use reasonable protections for a small project, such as secure connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. Archive data is meant to be long-term. Account-level data is stored as long as it is needed for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
